I am not sure if this is the Raccoon that dared inter my boat while I was aboard and I don't care. It was relocated.
The trap has been re-activated. In the event that another victim falls prey.........Well let me just say this: I will relocate the whole frigging family if so deemed.
Just saying. The day a piece of vermin animal comes on board my boat and does not ask for the food before it takes it.........he's done.
Bring on the second wave !!!! I ain't playing. The EBH could use some new blood in the gene pool.

CAN I GET A HELL YEAH ?!?!?!!!! No more sanding the wood on the Anole. She is sweetly sealed in teak oil. I'm just digging the hell out of that already. :)

Did I mention that I will never have to sand the wood on my deck again???? Just saying. :)

PS .More photos after the final coats of teak oil. I want to get three coats on this week. It was all fresh and virgin wood. Meaning this is the first week this wood has been exposed to air and atmosphere since 1968.
So I want a good seal on it all. :)

The dingy, "Sea Biscuit", is undergoing some changes too. It is being transformed into the working dinghy that it was always meant to be. {these were yesterdays photos - more coming}

Ok, here we go again. I let that "other" Captain talk me into this. I think it will be a good thing for the Captain. The boat may suffer but so be it. I will not ever sand the wood on my boat again! Period!

This wood has been taken down to its original bare wood from 1968. It's teak and it is so fucking pretty to look at. I hope this comes out good. Just saying.

For three months you have been dictating what I could eat. Then this morning when I had finally had enough, so had you. It's been a long road and I will miss you for sure. Ok, I have been easing into this project because the prospects of the whole deal are daunting. We, yes you and I, are about to embark on a maintenance program on the Anole. I am glad to have you along for the fun.
First off is the replacement of this rotten wood. New paint and new varnish follow. So Sit back and enjoy the insanity of the whole ordeal. :)

My dinghy which also serves as all around fishing vessel for food supplies for the Anole is about to undergo changes. This is going to be the new working platform for the front of the dinghy. It will host an anchor roller, an anchor keeper and who knows what else. Have a little faith here. It's going to work. lol :)
Also, while we are on the whole dinghy subject, let me just say this, and it may be a break out moment. The new name of the dinghy is going to be "Sea Biscuit" .

So I had this wild ass idea of growing a full beard, something I had never done in my life. I wanted to do some of those "fu man chu" braids in my beard. Fuck That !!!! It is way too damn hot around here for that.
I think what I will do here is take that two inches of beard material that I cut off today and offer it up in a public auction. As you can see there are many and various colors of hair. Also remember the DNA value. Just think about it for a minute. Here you have the smartest man on the planet. How else would you describe the owner of this boat. Miraculous !!!!
Let's just say that I start the bidding off at three million. That is fair I would think. In order to bid just put your name and credit card info into the comment box and submit. Hey !!!! Trust me. :)

Got some floor problems. I don't want to delve into it real deep at this moment. Lets just say........the maintenance guy is on the job.....and working.

Each time I head out to sail for what could become days I have a "Charging Party". It is a real blast. It usually takes about 24 hours to gather all my little rechargeable batteries from all there little hiding places. It can be real fun at times trying to track all the little bastards down. :)

Sometimes you just have to take hold of the reins of the beast and make it slow down. But the Anole, she demands so much of my attention. I can never please her.

I feel like a slave. :)

So there I was, sitting on the porch, enjoying a nice cold beer. I had been putting in 12-14 hour days on the Nielsen Plantation. I was beat. About that time “Rambling Man” (aka David Nielsen) decided it was time for his 2-3 mile run. My side kick “Joey” was all about that till the second lap started.
He decided he would hang out with me then. He is just an old flea bag, literally. But he is cool.

So there we were after the hella cool bike ride thru the country and leave it to David(aka “rambling man”) to pick our lunch stop. He he he. Very Christian place and very well decorated. LOL
