Delivering Lumber To Daufuskie Island From Savannah via The Barge

In the grand scheme of things very, very few truckers ever get the chance to drive on a barge and deliver a load to an isolated, boat in only island. So this was a real cool experience for me and I got paid for it, which is even better. :)
Daufuskie Island is a very beautiful island in South Carolina. You really have to be a lover of the south to appreciate it. It is a small community of "everyone knows everyone". Self governing for the most part as there is no local law enforcement. But you have to be able to rough it to some extent or be really rich to enjoy the lifestyle.
Cell phone use is very slim except in a few spots near the beach. But they do have land lines. There is also a fire department.

All the lumber we delivered today is to build a new home on the island.
